Each spring, the Winston School PTO hosts a Community-Wide, 1-day Garage Sale with items donated by the Winston School community. The Garage Sale helps fund the annual PTO End-Of-Year School Donation and Library Donation, as well as the Barbara Blumenthal and Polly Peterson Awards.
WHEN & WHERE: The Garage Sale will be April 8, 2017, 9am-4pm in the Winston Gym.
HOW TO DONATE:
During Carpool – You may drop off donations from the carpool line on Fridays in March. Drive to the storage pods behind the new arts building where someone will be available to accept your donations.
In the Gym – You may also drop off donations in the Gym.
If you have pieces of furniture that you can’t transport to school please contact Garage Sale chair Mimi Hearne to arrange for a pick-up.
All donations are tax-deductible!
WHAT TO DONATE: All donations (furniture, clothes, household/kitchen/bath items, holiday decorations, sports equipment, outdoor items, books, DVDs, other media, etc.) are welcome. Please do not donate torn/stained clothing or items inappropriate for a school environment. If you are unsure about a donation item, please contact Mimi Hearne.
BOOKS: The Garage Sale is a great place to drop off unwanted books of all types, especially Children’s Books. Our Librarian goes through all Book donations and pulls any that may be added to the Winston Library collection before the Garage Sale begins.
VOLUNTEER: Check your email for a Sign-Up Genius notification. Volunteers are needed to help organize and setup the Garage Sale during the week and assist shoppers on the day of the sale. NOTE: All Garage Sale volunteers may shop the sale anytime during or after their shift.
SHOPPING: All Winston Faculty, Staff, and Parents may shop the sale 3pm-5pm on Friday 4/7 or 9am-4pm on Saturday 4/8.
